Many if not most of our clients come to us hoping to understand their dreams, however few clinicians are trained to work with these windows into our deepest selves. We all dream nightly, and our dreams contain the seeds of both our struggles and our healing. Even nightmares contain gifts if we can learn to understand the messages they have hidden.  This workshop gives clinicians practical and immediately applicable tools to help clients not only understand their dreams, but how to use this information to make real lasting life changes. The frame of cognitive-behavioral, psycho-dynamic, and mind/body-oriented therapies used in this approach to dreamwork allows us to quickly access the core of an issue or problem and find paths to resolution.

1. Participants will analyze information as to how and why attending to dreams can enhance both clinical work and personal lives.

2 . Participants will be able to identify techniques in multiple methodologies for working with dream material.

3. Participants will be able to assess information and protocols to work safely and productively with nightmares and trauma based dreams to promote healing without abreaction.
