The Black Girls’ Guide to Getting Rid of Sexual Shame TM is a workshop for clinicians and practitioners to learn about a cognitive behavioral based model for combating sexual shame. This model focuses on Black women because of the unique shaming instances Black women are exposed to around sexuality. The suffering Black women experience by oppressors is growing in research and documentation, but Black female sexual healing is still under served and ignored. This workshop presents a model to combat the shame that Black women ultimately internalize from the sexualization, sexual exploitation, and sexual shaming faced daily.
